1Who May Use the App

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country of residence if that age is higher (for example, 16 in certain countries of the European Economic Area), to use the App. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.

You also confirm that you are not barred from using software of this kind under the laws that apply to you, and that you will use the App only on a device that you own or are authorized to manage.

2What the App Does

Junk Clean is a utility app that helps you review and manage the storage, files, and status of your Android device. At a high level, the App offers the following tools:

The App is a general-purpose utility. It does not replace a dedicated enterprise security solution, a professional data recovery service, or the diagnostic tools provided by your device manufacturer. Features may vary depending on your device model, Android version, region, and the permissions you grant.

3Device Permissions and Your Control

Several tools only work after you grant specific system permissions. The App will ask for each permission in context, explaining why it is needed, and you are free to decline. Declining a permission may limit or disable the related feature, but will not prevent you from using the rest of the App.

Depending on the features you choose to use, the App may request:

• Storage access — to locate junk files, messaging app media, large files, similar photos, and other content you ask the App to scan, display, or remove;
• Location (precise and approximate) — required by Android to read details of the Wi-Fi network you are connected to for Wi-Fi security checks; it is not used to track your movements;
• Usage access — to show how much time you have spent in each application, how often each one was opened, and how much data each application has used;
• Notifications — to list and dismiss accumulated notifications at your request, and to show App alerts such as scan results;
• Network and internet access — to run speed tests and Wi-Fi checks, perform security scans, and load ads;
• Foreground services and vibration — to keep a scan or removal running while it is in progress and to give haptic feedback when it finishes.

You can review or withdraw any permission at any time through your device’s system settings or through the permission management page in the App’s Settings. Withdrawing a permission does not affect any action already completed before withdrawal.

4File Removal and Data Loss

Before confirming any removal, including bulk removal of junk files, messaging app media, similar photos, or large files, you are responsible for reviewing the selected items and making sure you no longer need them. Classifications made by the App are automated suggestions and may occasionally include files that are still useful to you or to other applications.

We strongly recommend that you keep regular backups of important photos, documents, chat media, and other content. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any loss of data, content, or application settings resulting from removals that you confirm, or from the normal behavior of other applications after their cache or temporary files have been cleared (for example, needing to reload content or sign in again).

5Limits of Security and Network Scanning

5.1 Malware and threat scanning

The security scan is powered in part by a third-party security engine (Trustlook) and checks installed applications against the detection methods available at the time of the scan. No scanning technology can identify every threat. For clarity:

• a scan result showing no threats is not a guarantee that your device is free of malicious software or vulnerabilities;
• a scan may occasionally flag a legitimate file or application (a “false positive”) or miss a harmful one (a “false negative”);
• the App can only examine areas of your device that Android allows it to access;
• any action you take in response to a scan result, such as uninstalling an application or removing a file, is taken at your own discretion.

You remain responsible for good security habits, including keeping your operating system and applications up to date and installing software only from sources you trust.

5.2 Wi-Fi checks and speed tests

Wi-Fi security checks (such as ARP, DNS, and SSL checks) are informational and reflect conditions observed at the time of testing. You agree to run network checks only on networks you are authorized to use. Speed tests transfer data and may consume your mobile data allowance; any charges from your carrier are your responsibility. Results can vary with signal strength, network congestion, server location, and other factors outside our control.

6Device, Power, and Usage Information

Readings shown in the Toolbox, including charge level, power health, voltage, temperature, estimated remaining time, hardware specifications, app usage statistics, and data traffic figures, are derived from information reported by your device’s operating system and hardware. They are provided for general reference only, may be estimates, and may differ from figures shown by your device manufacturer, carrier, or other tools. Do not rely on them for safety-critical, billing, or warranty purposes.

7Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes and in line with these Terms. In particular, you must not:

• use the App to access, scan, alter, or delete data on a device or network that you do not own or are not authorized to manage;
• copy, modify, translate, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer the App, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits this despite this restriction;
• remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice in the App;
• rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or otherwise distribute the App, or make it available to others over a network;
• interfere with or disrupt the App, its servers, or any connected network, or attempt to bypass any security or access control measure;
• use bots, scripts, or other automated means to interact with the App or with advertisements displayed in it, or generate artificial ad impressions or clicks;
• use the App to develop a competing product or to collect information about other users;
• use the App in any way that violates applicable law or the rights of any third party.

8Your License to the App

Subject to your continued compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to download, install, and use one copy of the App on each Android device that you own or control, solely for your own personal use. Any right not expressly granted to you in these Terms is reserved by us and our licensors.

9Ownership and Trademarks

The App, including its software code, interface design, graphics, icons, text, and the “Junk Clean & File Manager” name and logo, is owned by the Junk Clean Team or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your use of the App does not transfer any ownership rights to you.

Names of third-party applications, platforms, and services that may appear in the App are the property of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility or to identify content stored on your device. Their appearance does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from those owners. Junk Clean is an independent product and is not affiliated with any messaging application whose cached media it helps you review.

If you send us feedback or suggestions about the App, you agree that we may use them freely, without restriction and without any obligation to you.

10Advertising and Consent Choices

The App is offered free of charge and is supported by advertising. Ads are delivered by third-party advertising partners and may appear within the App’s screens. We do not control and are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements, or for any products, services, or websites they promote. Any dealings you have with an advertiser are solely between you and that advertiser.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will be asked for your consent choices regarding ad personalization and related data processing. You can review or change those choices at any time through Settings → EU Data Preferences.

11Optional Paid Features

We may, now or in the future, offer optional paid features, such as ad removal or premium tools (“Paid Features”). Where Paid Features are offered, their price, billing period, and included benefits will be displayed in the App before purchase.

• All purchases are processed by Google Play under your Google account and are subject to Google Play’s terms and payment policies. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
• Subscriptions, if offered, renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. Uninstalling the App does not cancel a subscription.
• If a free trial is offered, you will be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
• We may change the price of Paid Features. Any price change to an existing subscription will be communicated in advance in line with Google Play’s requirements.

To cancel a subscription, open the Google Play Store app, go to Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, select the subscription, and follow the cancellation steps. Further guidance: Cancel, pause, or change a subscription on Google Play.

Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy, subject to any non-waivable rights you have under local consumer law: Google Play refund policies.

12Handling of Your Information

We respect your privacy and handle any information connected with your use of the App in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Scanning, file browsing, and most Toolbox features work with information already stored on your device, and you remain in control of what the App can access through the permissions described in Section 3. Limited technical information may be processed by us and by our service and advertising partners to operate, secure, and support the App and to deliver ads, subject to the consent choices described in Section 10.

13Third-Party Apps and Services

The App relies on, and interacts with, components provided by others, including the Android operating system, Google Play, a third-party security scanning engine, advertising networks and mediation platforms, attribution and analytics tools, consent management services, and speed test servers. These third parties operate under their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services, and the behavior of other applications on your device remains governed by their own developers.

14Updates and Availability

We may release updates that fix issues, improve performance, or add, change, or remove features. Some updates may be required for the App to continue working properly. We may also suspend, limit, or discontinue the App, or any part of it, at any time and without liability, for example for maintenance, security reasons, or changes in our business.

The App is distributed through Google Play. We do not guarantee that the App will be compatible with every device, every Android version, or every region, or that it will be available without interruption.

15Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the App and all of its features are made available on an “as is” and “as available” basis, with all faults and without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We specifically disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy, and non-infringement.

Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that the App will detect or remove all malicious software, that it will free a particular amount of storage, that readings or statistics it displays will be accurate or complete, that it will operate without errors or interruptions, or that defects will be corrected.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you. In that case, the exclusions apply to the greatest extent permitted by law.

16Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Junk Clean Team and its affiliates, members, agents, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, content, profits, revenue, goodwill, or device functionality, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the App — including any removal of files you confirmed, any threat a scan did not identify, or any action you took based on information shown in the App — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the App or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the App or Paid Features during the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) fifty U.S. dollars (US$50).

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also retain the statutory rights that local law grants you.

17Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Junk Clean Team and its affiliates, members, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the App, or your violation of any law or third-party right, including any use of the App on a device or network you were not authorized to manage.

18Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. If you have an active subscription, remember to cancel it separately through Google Play as described in Section 11.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the App. Upon termination, the license granted in Section 8 ends and you must uninstall the App. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including those on ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will remain in effect.

19Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Junk Clean Team operates, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to contact us first at the email address below so that we can try to resolve the matter informally within sixty (60) days.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be submitted to the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory law gives you the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. Nothing in this section deprives consumers of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country where they live.

20Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features, legal requirements, or changes in how the App operates. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide notice within the App or through another reasonable means before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the App after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them. If you do not agree to the changes, please stop using the App and uninstall it.

21General Provisions

• Entire agreement. These Terms, together with any terms shown at the point of purchase of Paid Features, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and replace any prior understandings.
• Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
• No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
• Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, or by operation of law.
• Force majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of networks or third-party services, natural disasters, or acts of government.
• Language. These Terms are written in English. If they are translated, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by law.
• Headings. Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
